What is it?

The card is a prepaid Visa card combined with an e-wallet, built for visitors rather than residents. You top it up with Thai baht and spend anywhere Visa or Thai QR is accepted. It links to the TAGTHAi app, so one card covers card payments, QR payments and ATM withdrawals across the whole country โ€” ideal for DTV holders, digital nomads and long-stay travellers.

The benefits

No subscription and no card fee. Apply in person at a KBank foreign-exchange booth and walk away with it in roughly 10โ€“15 minutes.

Funding it is simple. Move money from your home country straight onto your new Thai DTV Visa card, direct from your home bank โ€” using Wise, Monzo or almost any overseas account. Your baht is ready to spend without queuing at a counter or carrying cash.

Tap or swipe anywhere displaying the Visa symbol and skip the 2.5% surcharge that hits most overseas cards in Thailand.

Link the card in the TAGTHAi app and pay by Thai QR (PromptPay) at markets, street stalls and shops that don’t take cards.

Withdraw from any KASIKORNBANK ATM with no fee โ€” up to เธฟ10,000 per transaction, per day.

A valid passport is all you need. There’s no Thai bank account, no residency proof and no long paperwork to open it.

Valid for a year. Check the balance, freeze or unfreeze and view history in the app โ€” and any unused funds are refunded at the end of your trip.

How to get one
  1. Bring your passport. Applicants must be 20 or over and apply in person.
  2. Visit a KBank FX booth. For example Suvarnabhumi Airport (2nd floor, Gate 6) or a partner branch.
  3. Top up & link. Load Thai baht and connect the card to the TAGTHAi app to unlock QR and partner perks.
