River Kwai · Kanchanaburi

Where the
River Kwai
meets the good life.

Our in-house programmes are hosted at DuenShine Riverside Resort — an extraordinary setting on the banks of the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi. Cooled by altitude, forest, and river, it is one of the most serene and inspiring locations in all of Thailand.

Just two hours from Bangkok, Kanchanaburi sits at the confluence of the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai rivers — surrounded by national parks, spectacular waterfalls, and some of Thailand's richest cultural and historical heritage.

Everything taken care of.
From the moment you land.

Every Migrify in-house programme includes our full white-glove concierge service. You focus on your new life in Thailand — we handle absolutely everything else. No stress, no searching, no guesswork.

A dedicated Migrify representative meets you at Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang on arrival. No taxi queues, no confusion, no language barriers — just a warm welcome to Thailand from the moment you land.
Comfortable, air-conditioned private transport takes you directly from the airport to DuenShine Riverside Resort on the River Kwai — door to door, no stops, no shared shuttles, no stress.
Your room at DuenShine Riverside Resort is pre-arranged and ready for you on arrival. Wake up to riverside views from day one of your new Thai life — we handle all check-in formalities in advance.
Breakfast and evening meals are included for the entire duration of your programme stay — freshly prepared daily at the resort using local ingredients. Start your morning right and end every day well-fed by the river.

One of Thailand's most
beautiful regions. On your doorstep.

Kanchanaburi is far more than its famous bridge. From ancient temples and roaring waterfalls to vast national parks and riverside villages — your daily excursions reveal a side of Thailand most tourists never see. All sourced from the Thailand Tourism Authority's official Kanchanaburi guide.

Bridge on the River Kwai
The Death Railway Bridge · Kanchanaburi
The iconic World War II bridge — one of Southeast Asia's most historically significant sites — is a short drive from the resort. Walk across it at dusk for an unforgettable experience and explore the adjacent WWII museum and Death Railway museum.
Erawan Waterfall
Erawan National Park · 7-Tier Waterfall
Seven tiers of emerald pools cascading through the jungle — among the most beautiful waterfalls in all of Thailand. Swim in crystal-clear natural pools surrounded by tropical forest and spot freshwater fish that dart between the rocks.
Sai Yok Waterfall
Sai Yok National Park · Kanchanaburi
Two spectacular waterfalls within easy reach of the resort. Sai Yok Yai tumbles dramatically into the Khwae Noi River; the smaller Sai Yok Noi is renowned for its gentle beauty and the rare Kitti's hog-nosed bat — the world's smallest mammal — found in the nearby caves.
Elephant encounter Kanchanaburi
Elephant World · River Kwai · Kanchanaburi
Responsible elephant encounters and jungle trekking through Kanchanaburi's protected forest reserves. Spot hornbills, gibbons, monitor lizards, and exotic tropical flora on guided nature walks led by local experts.
Mueang Sing Historical Park
Mueang Sing · Ancient Khmer Ruins · Kanchanaburi
An ancient Khmer temple complex and one of the westernmost outposts of the Angkor Empire, set in a serene riverside location. A remarkable and largely undiscovered site — Thailand's history stretches back far further than most visitors imagine.
Submerged temple Sangkhlaburi
Underwater Temple · Sangkhlaburi · Kanchanaburi
Home to three of Thailand's largest reservoirs — Srinakharin, Vajiralongkorn, and Khao Laem — surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. White-water rafting, kayaking, and boat trips are all available. The submerged temple spires of the Underwater City at Vajiralongkorn Dam are a genuinely surreal sight.
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery · CWGC
Pay respects at the immaculately maintained Kanchanaburi War Cemetery and explore the World War II Museum and Art Gallery — a profound and moving chapter of the region's international significance. One of the most visited and important historical sites in Southeast Asia.
Three Pagodas Pass
Three Pagodas Pass · Thai-Myanmar Border
Journey to the Thai-Myanmar border at Three Pagodas Pass — a historic frontier town with fascinating cross-border markets, extraordinary mountain views, and centuries of trade history. One of Kanchanaburi's most rewarding and memorable day trips.
Kanchanaburi is cooled by altitude, forest, and river — a genuine respite from Bangkok's heat and congestion, yet just two hours away by road or rail. Located at the confluence of the Khwae Noi and Khwae Yai rivers, the town is a place to relax, watching the water from the banks of the river, inside a raft house, or from a riverside restaurant. Many visitors plan a couple of days and end up staying for weeks. You'll understand why the moment you arrive.

The three currently valid DTV Soft Power pathways are Muay Thai training, Thai culinary arts, and wellness / medical treatment. Thai language courses were removed as a qualifying pathway in 2025. Embassies are increasingly verifying that host institutions are genuine, operational, and officially registered — all Migrify partner programmes meet this standard.
Applicants must demonstrate liquid assets of approximately ฿500,000 (or equivalent) in a recent bank statement. This is a firm requirement at most embassies. Migrify provides full guidance on acceptable formats, currency equivalents, and how to present your financial evidence correctly at every stage of your application.
Approval rates vary significantly between Thai embassies and consulates. Migrify monitors current trends across all major embassies and advises each client on the best submission location for their nationality and circumstances. Choosing the right embassy is one of the most important factors in a successful DTV application.
